Alright now that I know that bit - hit me with a little clip....

Well I'm still reading so I must be intrigued tell me more!

Overview

I will say I went into the film based on the Russo brothers name attached to it. However with in the first 20 minutes, I already figured out the major plot twist and it seemed to be a lot of shots of New York City because they had the means and budget to do so.

Story

A cop that hunts cop killers and has very little remorse when he kills a bad guy. He is on the case of finding two cop killers that got involved in a a bad drug deal. So very good vs bad plot line in this case.

Characters

So we have the lead whose father was a cop and killed in the line of duty, which plans on him growing up to hunt the people down that do the same. Nicely developed lead with the movie opening up based on his father's funeral. We see that he still is taking care of his mother. Then we have the 'bad guys' one is a soldier that's gone bad and the other grew up on the streets. The thing is there is nothing really orginial about the characters. You think cop movie and you pretty much have the people that is copy and pasted into another movie.

Female Representation

So we have a female detective from AFT working with the lead. She has ample amount of screen time, dialogue, and a decent job. But placed into the single mom category of needing to worry about her child and surviving and doing everything for the kid. For once, let's say, I want a woman that is a strong female judges and is worried about her dog at home but knows it will be just fine if something happens to her.

That's all great and thanks but the real deets now!

I had high hopes going in to the film thinking how bad can it be when it's produced by the Russo brothers. I would say wait till its on Netflix or Hulu to watch this film.

Rhiannon viewed the film in 2D setting at Cineworld Rushden Lakes on 29 November 2019.
